Begin by taking a skeptical attitude toward anything that is conventional wisdom. Make it justify itself. It usually can’t. Be willing to ask questions about what is taken for granted. Try to think things through for yourself.” - Noam Chomsky, MIT professor, author, and activist 2010 interview with Chris Hedges(via Critical Thinking Quote: Noam Chomsky)

the single biggest freedom we’ve slowly been winning back from empire is the freedom to love deeply and truly whomever we feel compelled to (and there’s still quite a ways to go for many folks);so, forget, for a minute, your ‘freedom’ of consumer choice or to elect the next corporatized political puppet, and act love as freely as you can; it might not seem much next to ubiquitous social violence, but — unlike such forces — love is limitless

new bra from victoria secret! :)

A woman stands in her bedroom. She is with her attractive male lover. The air is filled with desire. They both look into each other’s eyes. The female, with a slightly bashful smile, takes off her clothes, starting with the pants first, and finally the shirt. She is wearing the bra. The man’s eyes opened wider in interest. His interest is peaked. The woman strutted closer to him, her eyes batting and her smile growing. She leans into his ear and with a breathy voice, she spoke:“Lettuce fuck.”

I graduate in three days, I pay my own bills, I have a car, and I’m reading fanfiction about a lettuce bra.

It has a little lettuce bow.

I’ve been laughing for 7 minutes oh my god

That’s not lettuce that’s cabbage! I can tell the difference.

english speakers are so arrogant lmao they go to other countries expecting everyone to speak perfect english or they mock and ridicule them and then when foreigners go to their country and speak even the slightest bit of broken english they mock them and throw racist “if you’re gonna come to our country learn our language or go back to where you came from” remarks around like honestly

I personally believe the term tumblr is so fond of PoC(“People of Color”) is actually detrimental to human equality because it simultaneously homogenizes and polarizes the race conversation in a way that is not related to actual races.

This is a not a Black and White issue. It’s 2014 time for a more warm human approach to the race conversation.

Yeah outside of Tumblr and MSNBC it’s actually considered pretty bloody rude and not at all politically correct since it’s taking anyone who isn’t “white” and lumping them into one mass of “not-white”.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who finds that term too eurocentric.

One day we’ll be in a Marvel movie, sitting there as something doesn’t feel right. and as the credits start to roll we’ll know what it is. It will flash up on screen and our hearts will break. “In loving memory of Stan Lee”. There was no cameo in that movie. And there never will be again.

Are you kidding!? Stan Lee’s gonna live forever!

Challenging white supremacy is not racism
Challenging patriarchy is not sexism
Challenging disproportionate distribution of wealth is not classism

I agree with this, although we should do far more than redistribute wealth. We need to get rid of capitalism altogether.
